No Labels Won't Run a Presidential Candidate in November Election

"No Labels" Political Organization Launches As Counterpoint To Tea Party

The bipartisan group "No Labels" will have no presidential candidate on the ballot this November because no candidate with a credible path to winning the White House emerged.

No Labels had approached and was turned down by at least a dozen possible candidates including former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and former Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney.

The democrats are breathing a sigh of relief as the third-party effort would have inevitably pulled votes from President Joe Biden, acting as a spoiler to help former President Donald Trump retake the White House.

"Americans remain more open to an independent presidential run, and hungrier for unifying national leadership than ever before," No Labels said in a statement. "But No Labels has always said we would only offer our ballot line to a ticket if we could identify candidates with a credible path to winning the White House. No such candidate emerged, so the responsible course of action is for us to stand down."
