Andrew Colton is one of South Florida's most respected journalists. Andrew has been reporting South Florida news since the late 1990s, when he served as a lead, late news reporter for WFOR-TV. Andrew then joined ABC News as a national network news correspondent for ABC News Radio and the ABC News affiliate feed service known as "NewsOne." He traveled the world reporting on many of the major incidents, events, and stories that have shaped the world. You may have seen Andrew reporting from the Pentagon on 9/11, the crash of ValuJet 592 in the Florida Everglades, the trial of Andrea Yates, the Olympics in Athens, Greece, and the start of the second Iraqi war from Tel Aviv. 


Andrew Colton s the recipient of several major broadcasting awards. Not just an on-air correspondent, Andrew is a member of the National Press Photographers Association, which is dedicated to visual storytelling. 


Before returning to the broadcast world as host of South Florida's First News on WIOD, Andrew spent the last decade working with trauma victims -- helping them tell their stories in a manner that eases their journey through the legal system. Andrew continues to work with trauma victims nationwide.
