Marathon world-record holder Kelvin Kiptum and his coach are dead after a car crash in Kenya on Sunday.
Kiptum, 24, set the world record marathon time in the Chicago Marathon last year, running it in 2:00.35.
Kiptum was widely regarded as the next great marathon runner, and a contender to break two hours.
A tragic loss with the Summer Olympics Games in Paris approaching he was due for an epic showdown with Eliud Kipchoge.
