Climate protesters will be hitting the streets in over 50 countries today to demand an end to the use of fossil fuels.
Organizers of the "Fridays for Future" movement expect over a million people to join over 500 protests through Sunday in dozens of countries from Pakistan to the U.S.
Organizers are calling on world leaders to immediately end oil and gas subsidies and to transition to renewable energy.
The Fridays for Future movement was started in 2018 by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg.
