Three of the four people killed when two planes collided in mid-air over the Everglades earlier this week are said to have been experienced pilots.
Miami-Dade police say the fourth victim was a student fairly new to flying.
Federal Aviation Administration records indicate both planes were registered to Dean International, a flight school operating out of Miami Executive Airport.
The planes went down Tuesday about nine miles west of the airport and the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating what caused them to run into each other.
