Atlanta police are on the hunt for a group of masked robbers who stole $150,000 from a local cash-checking business. The suspects were caught on video crashing through the ceiling of Atlanta Check Cashiers, located at 2457 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, on the morning of September 3.

According to the business manager, who was the only employee present at the time, she initially dismissed the loud thumping noises she heard as construction work next door. However, she was soon confronted by two men wearing ski masks who had plunged through the ceiling. The suspects forced her to the floor and then behind the cashier's station, out of view of the business' lobby.

One of the suspects was reportedly on the phone with a third accomplice, who was providing information about who was entering the business. When a customer entered the lobby, the suspects made the victim tell the customer to leave.

The robbers then forced the woman to open the safe, which they emptied, stashing the money in a duffle bag. They also took money from several cash drawers. Before leaving, they duct-taped the victim in the bathroom and asked her to show them the way out of the building. The suspects then left with a pink and black duffle bag containing over $150,000.

The suspects reportedly fled in an older model, possibly black or green, two-door pickup truck driven by the third suspect. Police found a hole cut using power tools on the roof of the business, directly above where the suspects had crashed through the ceiling.

The victim described one of the intruders as a light-skinned Black man, around 6 feet tall, possibly in his 30s, and the other as a dark-skinned Black male, around 5'8", with a slim build. Both were wearing ski masks and dark clothing. No description was provided for the third suspect.
