Biography

Born and raised in South Florida, after graduating High School, Manny studied Political Science and Aviation before joining the Army Reserves and taking what was supposed to be a temporary detour into the Radio Industry.  Since, 1989 he has run radio Networks for the Miami Hurricanes Sports and Miami Dolphins before long stints as a news producer and editor for both 940 WINZ and 610 WIOD.

 While in the “news” side of the industry, Manny interviewed two Presidents and countless other national, state and local Politicians, newsmakers and leaders. He organized coverage of major events such as Hurricane Andrew and its aftermath, the 2000 Election, September 11th, The Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, The 2004 and 2005 Hurricane Seasons.

 

For more than 14-years Manny was Executive Producer and Co-host of South Florida’s First News with Jimmy Cefalo.

Now in his 35th year in radio and 22nd year in radio news, Manny hosts his own show, The Manny Munoz Show, 10am – 12n on NewsRadio 610 WIOD. 

Born and raised in South Florida, Manny lives with his wife and their two kids in Southwest Broward. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, exploring wine, cooking/eating, country music concerts, rooting for the University of Miami Hurricanes, the Miami Dolphins and playing Poker.
