Advocates Cry Foul Over Possible Education Department Shutdown

Education advocates discuss the impacts of the dismantling of the Department of Education. Andrew Spar, President of the Florida Education Association, says this will hit the neediest students the most. The department sends billions of dollars a year to schools for vulnerable students, like the disabled and impoverished, and oversees one-point-six trillion in federal student loans. Closing the department requires an act of Congress.
