No resolution after a meeting between representatives from the city of Stuart and Martin County yesterday.

No votes were taken about who would pay for a proposed $60 million Brightline station.

Both had an agreement with the high-speed rail line to build the station but the city rescinded in October.

The county is moving forward with its deal with Brightline but needs the city's support to secure federal grants since the train station will be located in Stuart. But at the meeting, city leaders said they won't back a plan that leaves taxpayers footing the bill.

County officials say they may meet again, with all county commissioners present. If a resolution isn’t reached soon, the matter could end up in court.
