Police say a road rage incident on Monday night has led to the arrest of a corrections deputy.
St. Lucie County Deputy Devin Mills is accused of stopping short in front of a car, getting out and going over to the vehicle.
That led to a verbal altercation between Mills and two 18-year olds in that car who started recording his actions with their phones.
"Mr. Mills decided to try to reach into the car and in an apparent attempt to maybe grab one of the phones, and instead grabbed our male victim by the arm...yanking his arm outside the open window."
Sergeant Dominick Mesiti with Port St. Lucie Police says Mills is charged with burglary for reaching into the car and assault or battery for grabbing the victim by the arms.
He's on leave with the Sheriff's Office while the criminal investigation is underway. The St. Lucie Sheriff's Office is also conducting an administrative investigation into Mills' alleged actions.
