Jacksonville, FL - A Jacksonville man was arrested after attempting to flee from mounted police officers who allegedly observed him engaging in a drug transaction.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO), 25-year-old Jordan Wilson was spotted on Tuesday morning allegedly handing off illegal drugs.
Upon noticing law enforcement, Wilson attempted to escape on foot, running into oncoming traffic.
Body camera footage released by JSO captures the pursuit, with Officer Cassie Haire urging her horse, Nash, saying, "Get that bad man, Nash."

Police Service Horse Nash, with Officer Cassie Haire in the saddle, galloped into action, proving that criminals can run, but they can’t hide from our horsepower!
After a quarter-mile chase, Wilson decided to rein it in and surrender to Officer Zackary Maryland.

The chase continued for approximately a quarter-mile before Wilson surrendered to Officer Zachary Maryland and his horse, Jaxx.
Wilson was subsequently arrested and charged with resisting an officer without violence, a misdemeanor offense.
JSO shared the incident on social media, highlighting the effectiveness of their Mounted Unit in apprehending suspects.
They emphasized that their mounted officers are committed to ensuring public safety and are not to be underestimated.
