Ruling Expected In Broward Sheriff's License Case

A state commission expected to rule today in the case of Broward Sheriff Gregory Tony who's accused of violating state law by not disclosing his driver's license had been suspended when he went to get a replacement license. Attorney Mark Eiglarsh expects Tony to face some type of punishment for being untruthful about the 1998 suspension. Tony claims his innocence, saying he was simply answering the questions before him as instructed. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is asking a judge to suspend his law enforcement certification for six months because he broke public trust.
