The Miami Heat is suspending forward Jimmy Butler for a third time.
This time it's at least five games but is listed as indefinite.
The team released a statement about today's incident:
"The Miami HEAT are suspending Jimmy Butler without pay effective immediately for an indefinite period to last no fewer than five games. The suspension is due to a continued pattern of disregard of team rules, engaging in conduct detrimental to the team and intentionally withholding services. This includes walking out of practice earlier today."
Butler was supposed to be available today after serving a two game suspension for missing the team flight to Milwaukee.
He previously served a seven game suspension for “conduct detrimental to the team.”
He has asked for a trade.
