A South Florida man faces charges of making a false bomb threat.

West Palm Beach Police say 32-year old Luke Joseph Cahill called 911 yesterday, claiming there was a bomb in the parking lot of the police department's headquarters.

That led to the closure of Banyan Boulevard, Clematis Street, Rosemary Avenue and Sapodilla Avenue, as well as the Sapodilla parking garage. The police station was also partially evacuated.

No explosives were found and things went back to normal after more than six hours.

Detectives were able to identify the origin of the call to a medical facility in West Palm Beach. That's where they found Cahill.
