Miami Beach, FL - Two prominent figures in the luxury real estate market have reportedly been arrested at their Miami Beach home in connection with a sexual assault investigation.
Authorities say Alon and Oren Alexander were arrested on allegations involving victims who were reportedly drugged, raped, and coerced through the misuse of the brothers’ positions of power and influence in the real estate industry.
According to authorities, the twin brothers were taken into custody at their Miami Beach homes following a joint investigation by Miami-Dade and New York law enforcement.
The twins older brother, Tal Alexander, was also reportedly arrested in South Florida on federal charges related to the case.
A fourth suspect remains at large.
Court records and an indictment accuse the brothers of using their prominent roles in the luxury real estate sector to lure women under false pretenses, often with the promise of high-end experiences, travel, and accommodations.
Once in their control, victims were allegedly drugged with substances such as GHB, cocaine, and mushrooms, rendering them defenseless before being sexually assaulted.
One incident outlined by Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle occurred on December 31, 2016.
A woman was allegedly invited to a barbecue at an apartment on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach but discovered upon arrival that no event was taking place.
Instead, she reported being held down and raped by the twins and their cousin.
After the assault, the victim was forced to shower before being allowed to leave and was told not to speak about the incident.
Another reported assault occurred on October 20, 2017, when a woman attended a real estate event with one of the twins.
She was later invited to his apartment under the guise of trying out virtual reality goggles.
There, she was given wine and subsequently lost control of her body, later awakening to find she had been sexually assaulted.
A third victim reported an incident on October 26, 2021, when she met one of the brothers at a dinner party.
After the brother allegedly became aggressive and ripped her dress, the woman attempted to escape but found the door locked remotely.
When she returned to confront him for help unlocking the door, she was assaulted again.
The federal indictment filed in New York expands on these allegations, accusing the brothers of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and detailing years of orchestrated crimes targeting women.
Prosecutors claim the brothers leveraged their wealth and professional status to identify and exploit victims.
Tal Alexander, who appeared in federal court Wednesday, faces potential detention as a flight risk.
The Alexanders are widely known in the luxury real estate industry for brokering multimillion-dollar deals, including the $240 million sale of a penthouse in 2019, the most expensive residential transaction in U.S. history at the time.
They have also facilitated record-breaking property sales in Miami-Dade’s Billionaire Bunker enclave.
In a statement, Fernandez Rundle expressed hope that additional victims in Miami-Dade or beyond will come forward, urging anyone with information to contact authorities.
