A Boca Raton woman has been sentenced to 13 months in federal prison for phoning in a bomb threat to President-elect Trump's West Palm Beach Golf Club.
60-year old Martha Jane Schoenfeld pleaded guilty in September to making a threat to kill a former President. She had accepted a deal with the federal government in which prosecutors recommended Schoenfeld get probation and community service due to the fact that she has no prior criminal record.
But the judge sent her to prison instead. Had the case gone to trial, Schoenfeld could have gotten 10 years behind bars.
Trump International is the same golf club where a man is accused of attempting to assassinate the now-President-elect back in September. Ryan Routh has pleaded not guilty in a case that is not connected to Schoenfeld's.
