Hallandale Beach, FL - Doug Emhoff visited Hallandale Beach on Wednesday in an effort to drum up support for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.
Emhoff, the Second Gentleman, arrived in Fort Lauderdale aboard the Harris-Walz campaign plane and was greeted by U.S. Representatives Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Frederica Wilson, as well as Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis.
After a brief exchange, Emhoff made his way to the rally in Hallandale Beach.
Emhoff took to the stage and told the crowd "We really need to listen to what Donald Trump is actually saying. This time around, he poses an even greater threat—to the economy, to women, and to our very democracy.”
In 2013, Emhoff met then-attorney general of California, Kamala Harris.
The two became engaged in March of 2014, and were married at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse on August 22nd, 2014.
Wednesday's rally is just one of several events Emhoff is scheduled to attend during his visit to South Florida.
