Miami Commissioner Miguel Angel Gabela wants to undo the controversial lifetime pensions for commissioner's vote. He says he wants to send the question to a ballot referendum like Commissioner Damian Pardo initially suggested. The commission approved the pensions in a three-two vote. They can reconsider the vote if three of the five agree to do so today. Commissioners have been called despicable by sidents upset over the proposal.
