South Florida preparing for the peak king tides beginning today through next Monday. Ft. Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis is advising residents to prepare their property as best they can. He says the city has invested in infrastructure above and below ground to lessen the threat. In Rio Vista, they've built a 4-thousand linear-foot sea wall along Cordova as a preemptive strike against flooding. The next king tides are set for November 13th.
