Miami Reggaeton Artist Hospitalized After Being Shot In The Head

Miami, FL - A popular Cuban reggaeton artist was rushed to the hospital on Thursday following a shooting incident in Miami.

The shooting occurred near Jackson Memorial Hospital, in the area of Ninth Avenue and Northwest 17th Street, at around 7 a.m.

City of Miami Police responded to reports of a gunshot victim in a black Mercedes-Benz.

Upon arrival, officers found the man, identified as singer El Taiger, unconscious in the back seat of the vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

It remains unclear whether the injury was self-inflicted or the result of being shot by another person.

The victim was immediately transported to JMH’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he remains in critical condition.

Friends and colleagues of the artist, whose real name is José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, have gathered at the hospital to offer their support.

El Taiger, who has over a million followers on Instagram, is a well-known figure in the Cuban music scene.

Miami Police are currently investigating the shooting and have not confirmed the victim’s identity.

Roads in the area of Northwest 17th Street between Eighth and 10th Avenues are closed while authorities conduct their investigation.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area or seek alternative routes.
