One Dead Following Shooting Over Jukebox At Fort Lauderdale Restaurant

Fort Lauderdale, FL - A fatal shooting occurred early Monday morning at a Fort Lauderdale Mexican restaurant following a dispute over a jukebox song.

The incident took place around 1:30 a.m. at Antojitos Mexicanosi restaurant near Davie Boulevard and State Road 7.

According to witnesses, an argument erupted between two men over a song selection on the jukebox.

The altercation escalated into violence, resulting in gunfire.

One man was fatally shot, and the suspect fled the scene.

Fort Lauderdale Police are investigating the shooting and working to identify and apprehend the gunman.

The victim's identity has been released as 54-year-old Socorro Camacho.

Witnesses described the chaotic scene as the shooting unfolded, with shots fired inside the restaurant and the suspect being chased by the victim.

The restaurant manager has provided security footage to assist police in their investigation.

The community is shocked and saddened by this senseless act of violence.
