St. Petersburg Man Arrested Following Spaghetti Sauce Assault On Mom

St. Petersburg, FL - A domestic dispute escalated into assault on Sunday when a St. Petersburg man allegedly threw spaghetti sauce at his mother.

Police say 35-year-old Anthony Edlin was arrested and charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest without violence following the altercation at his residence.

According to the arrest report, Edlin and his mother, Denise Camodeca, engaged in a verbal argument that escalated when Edlin allegedly threw spaghetti sauce at her.

After the incident, Edlin fled the home and was apprehended by responding officers while hiding in the backyard.

Despite verbal commands to surrender, Edlin initially attempted to evade capture.

Law enforcement determined that Edlin was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident and showed no signs of mental health impairment.

He was subsequently released from Pinellas County Jail on his own recognizance.

The St. Petersburg Police Department is continuing its investigation into the matter.
