Man Arrested For Pointing Gun at Driver During Road Rage Incident

Lee County, FL - A Southwest Florida man has been arrested after allegedly pointing a laser-equipped gun at another driver on Interstate 75 in Lee County.

Authorities say the suspect, identified as Jan Harr, faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following Thursday's road rage incident.

According to reports, the victim, Joshuanna Silva, was merging onto I-75 from the Bonita Beach Road exit.

Silva says as she merged onto the highway, Harr began honking, pulled alongside her vehicle, and displayed an obscene gesture before pointing a gun with a laser sight at her.

Silva tells NBC 2 News, "I saw him turn back, and it looked like he had reached for something. And that's when he pointed the gun at me, and he had the red laser beam, like, going all around my forehead and my eyes for a while. And then I started freaking out. I thought he was going to shoot me. I thought I was going to die at that time."

The laser beam was directed at Silva, between her forehead and eyes, causing her to fear for her life.

Deputies arrested Harr shortly after the incident.

He was taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
