Search for Missing Broward Woman Solves a 2018 Cold Case

The family of a missing woman who was last seen on July 21st is getting some help searching the waterways in Miramar.

That's the last place the truck John Tormey says they tracked an Apple Airtag in vehicle they believe Carol Tormey was driving.

Tormey says one company did find a car with a body inside last night, but it was not his mom.

Tormey notes that, "As a result of finding of the remains did help solve a 2018 cold case. So even though my mom is still missing, the search for her helped give another family some closure."

He says the medical examiner has not provided the identity of the body pending notification of the family.

Carol Tormey suffers from COPD and dementia and may be traveling in a 2018, black Chevrolet Colorado, FL tag number GYNM49.
