Ocala, FL - Thirty-three men have been arrested in Marion County following an undercover operation targeting online child predators.
Sheriff Billy Woods announced the arrests during a press conference on Tuesday.
Undercover officers posing as children engaged in online conversations with the suspects, who allegedly solicited sex with minors and made explicit plans to meet up.
Some of the men traveled from outside of Florida to meet with who they believed were children.
Sheriff Woods emphasized the dangers children face online and urged parents to be vigilant about their children's online activities.
In addition to the arrests, law enforcement seized firearms, drugs, cash, and vehicles from the suspects.
