Miami-Dade participating in a nation-wide "Empty the Shelters" pet adoption event. Animal Services Director Annette Jose says they are waiving adoption fees starting today through month's end. She says they are at capacity with 350 dogs in their shelter so there are 150 dogs at their overflow facility in Medley. All adopted pets are dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered.
