Woman Drives Car Thru South Florida School During Chaotic Rampage

Pompano Beach, FL - A South Florida driver was arrested last week after recklessly crashing through a school for special needs children during a chaotic rampage.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, 12 special needs children and seven staff members were present at the Bright Horizons School in Pompano Beach on Friday when the driver, identified as 48-year-old Tiffani Madias, crashed through the school’s gates and embarked on a chaotic rampage.

Witnesses described shattered glass strewn across the campus and tire marks scarring the basketball courts.

The driver allegedly performed donuts in the schoolyard before speeding through a hallway, narrowly missing an employee who was forced to leap out of the way.

No injuries were reported, however, the damage to the school is estimated at over $20,000.

Madias faces charges of aggravated assault with a weapon, felony criminal mischief, and burglary.

She is currently being held without bond.

The school district confirmed that summer school was not in session and that the facility was being used by a private vendor, who notified the parents of the children present.
