The judge overseeing former President Trump's classified documents case is holding a hearing on Friday to hear arguments from Trump's attorneys to dismiss the case. They claim that special counsel Jack Smith was unlawfully appointed to the case.

It's just the latest pre-trial hearing in this case.

Next week, Fort Pierce Federal Judge Aileen Cannon will also hear arguments from Smith's team that they want to put a gag order on the former president. His attorneys will challenge that.

Cannon has indefinitely suspended the trial's start date due in part to all of the pre-trial issues. It was originally set to begin in May.

No word on whether Trump will be at Friday's hearing.
