Hialeah, FL - A Hialeah woman took action after spotting her father’s stolen semi truck when it passed her on the Palmetto Expressway earlier this month.
The 22-year-old woman, who wished to remain anonymous, spotted the vehicle while traveling on the Palmetto Expressway.
Recognizing the truck as her father's, she contacted the authorities and followed the vehicle at a safe distance for about 30 minutes.
Law enforcement arrived on the scene in northeast Miami-Dade County and were able to secure the truck in a parking lot.
The suspects in the theft initially fled, but police apprehended them soon after.
The woman's father expressed his gratitude for her assistance.
Authorities have taken two individuals into custody in connection with the incident.
Their names are being withheld pending further investigation.
