A South Florida man is accused of threatening a mass shooting at a synagogue.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says 26-year old Paul Morris made that threat last week, saying he would shoot a synagogue and murder all Jews on Friday.

The man's roommate says he knew of the post and shared other antisemitic messages that Morris had sent on Instagram, including one that stated that he wants Hitler to come back to kill all the Jews.

Morris told deputies that he suffers from depression and wrote the messages as a way to get his friends to leave him alone regarding his political stance.

He's charged with written threats to commit a mass shooting or threat of terrorism and is being held on $25,000 bond.

PBSO has requested a risk protection order to ensure Morris doesn't have access to any weapons.
