Former President Trump spent his 78th birthday in West Palm Beach on Friday night by having a crowd of 5,000 supporters sing Happy Birthday to him.
Trump gave a speech at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. He promised to crack down on illegal immigration, talked about President Biden being too frail to handle a second term. He said the country is being destroyed by "incompetent people" and talking about Biden said "All presidents should have aptitude tests."
Among those attending the event hosted by Club 47, which was formerly named Club 45, were Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Southwest Florida Congressman Byron Donalds. Both men have been mentioned in media reports as possible VP candidates.
Trump has said he would likely announce his pick for a running mate at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee next month.
