Former Red Lobster Cook Arrested in Armed Robbery Caught On Tape

West Palm Beach, FL - A former West Palm Beach Red Lobster employee is facing charges following a violent armed robbery at the restaurant that was caught on tape earlier this year.

Authorities say 35-year-old Ta'Shambae Saleme Greene, of Lauderhill, was arrested on Thursday by the U.S. Marshal's South Florida Fugitive Task Force.

According to West Palm Beach Police, Greene robbed the restaurant after being sent home on April 14th due to slow business.

Around 11 p.m. that evening, a masked individual, later identified as Greene, entered the closed restaurant and threatened the manager and another employee at gunpoint.

Surveillance footage reportedly captured Greene striking the manager before forcing her to open the safe.

Greene allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash and the manager's iPhone before fleeing the restaurant.

A tip from an employee who recognized Greene's voice led to his identification.

A search warrant executed at Greene's residence on April 26th discovered clothing matching the robber's description, a large sum of cash, and a firearm believed to be the one involved in the crime.

Greene faces charges of robbery, wearing a mask during a crime, illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts of false imprisonment.

He is currently being held at the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Main Detention Center.

Bond information has not yet been released.
