Nearly a dozen illegal immigrants were taken into custody in Fort Pierce.

U.S. Border Patrol acting chief agent for the Miami Sector Samuel Briggs II took to the social media platform "X" to write that the eleven migrants are from Guatemala, Mexico and Honduras and have "lengthy immigration and criminal records."

Agents were sent on Thursday to assist St. Lucie County Sheriff's deputies with a traffic stop where the illegals were discovered.

One of the migrants, a Guatemalan national, had an active criminal warrant for violating his probation and failing to appear in court. He was turned over to Martin County Sheriff's officials.
