Naples, FL - The Collier County Sheriff's Office has closed their investigation into an alleged battery incident involving an autistic child that occurred at the Naples Zoo in April.

According to a report, a 5-year-old boy was playing near the turtle enclosure when a man approached the child and pushed him down on April 28th.

The child's mother intervened, informing the man that her son had autism.

The arrest report states another unidentified man then put the child in a headlock.

The mother was able to pull her son away, and both men fled the area.

The mother recorded a video of the two suspects walking away and provided it to deputies.

The suspects are described as males, one in his 30s and the other in his 60s.

Due to a lack of security cameras in the vicinity, the Naples Zoo was unable to provide further details.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office has suspended the case for now due to a lack of leads.

However, investigators assured the public that the investigation would be reopened if new information came to light.
