Woman Arrested for Assaulting Teen with Syrup Bottle at Miami Beach IHOP

North Miami Beach, FL - A 34-year-old woman faces child abuse and neglect charges after allegedly attacking a teenager with a syrup bottle at a South Florida IHOP.

Authorities say Precious Williams was taken into custody on Monday night after a violent altercation at an International House of Pancakes in North Miami Beach.

The incident, which occurred around 10:15 p.m., involved Williams attacking a 14-year-old girl.

The episode unfolded when Williams accused the teen and her family of "talking badly" about her four children, who are aged between 3 and 8.

Despite the family's denial of any such comments, Williams lunged at the teen, grabbing her hair and screaming.

The teen retaliated by pulling Williams' hair in an attempt to free herself.

The fight was eventually broken up by the victim's family and Williams' husband.

According to Williams, one of her children informed her that someone at the victim's table had used a racial slur against them.

However, police reports and cellphone video evidence suggest that Williams initiated the confrontation without provocation.

The footage reportedly shows Williams standing over the seated teen, shouting at her before physically assaulting her.

During the brawl, another person was struck in the head with a syrup bottle by an unidentified individual.

The report also noted that Williams did not check on her children after the fight, a fact that raised concerns among the restaurant staff. Williams has been charged with one count of child abuse without great bodily harm and four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are reviewing the evidence to determine if any additional charges are warranted.
