MULBERRY -- The driver of a semi-truck and the driver of a box truck died in a wrong-way crash Wednesday morning along State Road 37 near the Polk-Manatee line and Four Corners area.
Polk Sheriff Grady Judd says the crash happened around 8:00 a.m. near Four Corners Mine road. The driver of a box truck tried to avoid stopped traffic on 37 by swerving across the center line. His truck collided with a semi-truck going the other way. The crash left both trucks on their sides and set off a brush fire. No other drivers were hurt.
