The city of Aventura formalizes a sister-city agreement with the Israeli city of Modi'in. Senator Rick Scott on hand for the announcement, saying the U-S stands behind Israel and it's right to defend itself. As part of the announcement, Aventura is shipping an ambulance to Modi'in, which is located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. This marks the first time in the city's history the commission has approved this type of charitable donation.
