Rapper Sean Kingston's Mother's South Florida Home Raided in Fraud Case

Southwest Ranches, FL - Broward County Sheriff's deputies and SWAT team members raided a Southwest Ranches home on Thursday morning and arrested rapper Sean Kingston's mother.

According to investigators, the investigation began in Dania Beach and led to Thursday's raid.

A civil complaint alleges Kingston used his celebrity status to scam a company called Ver Ver Entertainment out of a high-end entertainment system.

Attorney Dennis Card, representing Ver Ver Entertainment, claims Kingston partially paid for the system but never completed the payment.

Card alleges a pattern of similar behavior by Kingston and suggests stolen property may be located within the raided residence.

Family members present at the home declined to comment.

Authorities say Kingston's mother, identified as 61-year-old Janice Turner, is implicated in the fraud scheme.

Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, was taken into custody by officers in Fort Irwin, California, on an arrest warrant originating from Broward County.

He is expected to be booked in San Bernardino County.

Turner has reportedly been charged with "numerous fraud and theft charges."

Kingston stated his innocence on social media, stating that his lawyers were handling the situation.
