Flagler County, FL - A 16-year-old has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Flagler County gun store in March.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO), deputies responded to a burglary call from Pioneer Guns & Ammo on March 7th shortly after 8:00 a.m.

Surveillance footage reveals the teenage suspect breaking a glass door and squeezing through security bars to enter the store.

Once inside, the suspect smashed a display case and stole several handguns and long guns.

FCSO investigators utilized real-time crime center technology to identify a suspect vehicle.

Additionally, blood evidence recovered from the scene during the burglary provided DNA information.

On April 23rd, officials made contact with the suspect's mother, who turned over a bag containing 34 of the stolen firearms.

The recovered weapons, valued at over $25,000, were identified as belonging to Pioneer Guns & Ammo.

Investigators also discovered incriminating text messages on the suspect's phone.

The 16-year-old, whose identity is withheld due to his age, faces charges of burglary while armed with a firearm and grand theft.

He was processed at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility before being transferred to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.
