South Florida Prepping For Start Of Hurricane Season

South Florida prepping for the upcoming hurricane starting a week from Saturday. Miami-Dade Department of Emergency Management Director Pete Gomez says they have the emergency operations center up and running today for a dry run of how to react if and when a hurricane comes through. He says they have twenty-eight department heads and municipal representatives on hand so they can hit the ground running if need be. An intense hurricane season is predicted to bring twenty three named storms into the Atlantic , with eleven becoming hurricanes --five of them major.
