Miami Man Arrested After Alleged Pokémon Card Theft and Threat with Pliers

Miami, FL - A Miami man has been jailed without bond after allegedly stealing a $30,000 Pokemon card binder and threatening someone with pliers.

According to police, 33-year-old Jasiel Manfarrol entered "Pro Play Games" and expressed interest in their Pokémon cards.

The store owner presented a valuable binder containing around $30,000 worth of cards.

Police allege Manfarrol then grabbed the binder and attempted to flee the store without paying.

He was confronted outside by patrons and store staff who managed to recover the binder.

However, the affidavit details how Manfarrol then threatened another person with a pair of pliers, making stabbing motions and saying "I'm going to stab you" in Spanish.

Manfarrol was eventually apprehended by police and is facing charges of aggravated assault, grand theft, and armed robbery.

He is currently being held without bond.
