Miami Commissioners Expected To Weigh In On New Voting Map

Some Miami Commissioners crying foul over the new map saying it will lead to too many Hispanics on the board. Commissioner Manolo Ryes believes the city can appeal a federal judge's ruling tossing the old map out for racial gerrymandering. The map will become effective seven days after a settlement is hashed out. Commissioners currently serving will retain their titles through the end of their term regardless of redrawn boundaries.
