Man Arrested After Terrifying Children at Bus Stop

West Melbourne, FL - A Florida man is under arrest for allegedly threatening children with a screwdriver at a bus stop.

According to a West Melbourne Police Department affidavit, 31-year-old Kurt Strzesynski approached the children and demanded they "get on the ground" in a threatening manner, while wielding a screwdriver.

Fearing for their safety, both children complied.

Police say the children were able to report the incident to the police after Strzesynski left.

When officers arrived at the bus stop to speak with the victims, Strzesynski returned to the scene and disregarded police instructions to stop.

Officers were eventually forced to use a taser to detain him.

The affidavit confirms that a red metal screwdriver, matching the children's description, was recovered from Strzesynski.

He now faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment of a minor, and resisting arrest.
