Fort Myers Beach, FL - A Southwest Florida man was arrested at Margaritaville Resort for throwing bottles from his balcony and resisting deputies when they tried to remove an open beer from his hand.
Police say 23-year-old Connor Michael Thurman was arrested on charges of trespassing and resisting arrest after an incident at the Margaritaville Resort early Saturday.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), Thurman threw beer bottles from a fourth-floor balcony, endangering guests below.
Security guards informed deputies who attempted to contact Thurman in his room, but he refused to answer.
Thurman eventually became belligerent when confronted, arguing with both security and deputies.
Body camera footage captured a struggle when Thurman resisted attempts to remove an open beer bottle from his hand.
Thurman is currently in custody with a bond hearing to be scheduled.
The incident has drawn criticism from locals who find such disruptive behavior unacceptable.
