Congressman Brian Mast wants to rename a post office in honor of a fallen state trooper.
Florida Highway Patrolman Zachary Fink was killed in the line of duty in February as he was pursuing a fleeing felon in Port St. Lucie. He had followed the speeding driver in making a U-Turn along I-95 when a semi crashed into his patrol car.
The Republican representative has put forward a legislative proposal to rename the U.S. Post Office on Northwest Peacock Boulevard in Port St. Lucie after Trooper Fink.
Mast says the trooper's bravery and selflessness should inspire us all. He is a hero and should never be forgotten.
