The Palm Beach Zoo is asking the public to help choose a name for its newest addition: a baby sloth born to first-time mom, Wilbur.
Yes, the mom's name is Wilbur, because the sex of a sloth is undetermined early due to their slow maturation process and the fact that the sexual organs are internal.
So, they don't yet know the baby's sex and have come up with some gender-neutral proposed names. They include Charlie, DJ and Fern.
Voting can be done in person at the zoo or on any of the zoo's social media posts about the baby sloth, who was born in January. Voting wraps up on Memorial Day, May 27.
