Digital Threat Made Against Lake Worth Middle School

School Threat - West Palm Beach

The Palm Beach County School District says it is investigating a threat to Lake Worth Middle School.

A letter sent to parents on Monday noted that the unspecified threat was in a "digital message circulating in the community."

The letter stated that it is being investigated and once a suspect is found they will face punishment as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct, along with criminal charges. Making a threat against a school is a second-degree felony.

There have been no active incidents on campus and students and staff are encouraged to report anything suspicious through the Fortify Florida app.
