Man Accused of Stealing Over $100,000 in Electronics from Best Buy Stores

Orlando, FL - An Orlando man has been arrested for allegedly stealing over $118,000 in electronics from Best Buy stores across Florida over the past year.

Police say 30-year-old Earl Glover is facing grand theft charges after allegedly stealing over $118,000 worth of electronics from Best Buy stores throughout Florida during a year-long crime spree.

According to investigators, Glover targeted display merchandise like cellphones and laptops, ripping them from security cables and fleeing the stores.

The alleged thefts occurred between June 2022 and March 2023, with Glover hitting multiple Best Buy locations on several occasions.

Authorities detailed a series of incidents where Glover triggered store alarms and evaded capture, even leaving his cell phone behind during one escape attempt.

Investigators used Glover's abandoned phone to track his location and confirm his identity.

The phone also reportedly contained photos of the stolen merchandise.

Glover is currently held on a $200,000 bond at the Brevard County Jail.
