Security beefed up at synagogues across South Florida as Jews prepare for the start of Passover at sundown. Evan Levitt with the Jewish Student Union says the holiday falls during the on-going war in Israel amid a wave of antisemitism in the U-S. The Anti-Defamation League says last year the number of antisemitic incidents outpaced the all-time high set in 2022 by 140% with more than 8-thousand incidents. Passover marks the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery.
