Man Allegedly Abuses Girlfriend's Son During Fight Over "Paw Patrol"

Miami, FL - A Miami man was arrested last week for a 2022 domestic incident in which he assaulted his girlfriend’s 5-year-old son during a disagreement over the children's cartoon "PAW Patrol."

Police say 36-year-old Keyyun Bryant grabbed the boy's arm and told him the show was "for girls" during an argument in December of 2022.

A witness corroborated the child's account, stating Bryant grabbed the boy by the arm and neck, before striking him on the head.

The child also told investigators at the University of Miami Child Protection Team that Bryant scratched him and threatened to take him to jail.

"PAW Patrol" features rescue dogs working together to protect their community.

Despite the cartoon's positive message, Bryant allegedly took issue with the boy watching it.

Bryant denied the accusations and claimed the child's biological father had made false allegations in the past.

Bryant was arrested on Tuesday and charged with one count of felony child abuse.
